Marathon Consulting Announces Team Additions – 2026 Q1

Virginia Beach, VA. – Marathon Consulting, LLC, a Virginia-based Information Technology consulting company, today announced a recent expansion resulting in the addition of 6 team members. All of the new team members are assigned to clients local to Marathon offices and across the U.S.

The new employees include the following individuals:

David A. – David is a Computer Science graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University, earning his B.S. with a minor in Mathematics in December 2025. He brings hands-on experience in technical support, systems operations, and programming in C++, C#, Java, and LUA, along with a strong foundation in troubleshooting and application development. In Summer 2025, David joined Marathon Consulting as an intern, where he applied his technical skills in a consulting environment and contributed to real-world projects. Marathon Consulting plans to have him return to support targeted projects as he continues to grow his career in software and application development.

Jennifer O. – Jennifer joins the team as a Business Technology Consultant with a Master’s in Predictive Analytics and hands-on fellowship experience with a local municipality. She specializes in forecasting, machine learning, and large-scale consumption analysis, using tools such as Python, R, and SQL to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that support operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. 

A summa cum laude graduate, Jennifer combines strong technical expertise with clear communication skills and a collaborative approach. Fluent in English and German, she is also active in community volunteer leadership, bringing both analytical precision and a people-focused mindset to her work. She is currently assigned to a public municipal utility where she is leveraging her business analysis and data skills

Joe A. – Joe joins the organization as a Senior Business Consultant with more than 20 years of experience advising enterprise teams on process optimization, Agile delivery, and technology-enabled business transformation. A Certified Scrum Master, he partners closely with stakeholders to clarify complex requirements, streamline operations, and deliver solutions that align strategy with execution.  

Joe is known not only for his structured, results-driven approach, but also for his collaborative style and commitment to building strong working relationships. With deep expertise in business analysis, release governance, and cross-functional leadership, he helps teams navigate change with clarity and confidence. His ability to communicate effectively, foster trust, and keep projects moving forward makes him a valued partner to clients and colleagues alike. He is currently assigned to a public municipal utility where he is leveraging his seasoned business analysis skills.

Jake S. – Jake is a seasoned iOS Software Engineer with over a decade of experience building high-performance, user-focused mobile applications. He specializes in Swift, SwiftUI, and modern iOS architecture, with a strong foundation in UIKit, Objective-C, and scalable API integration. 

Jake has led and contributed to large-scale applications at organizations such as AAA, LPL Financial, Capital One, and GEICO, where he played a key role in modernizing codebases, improving user experiences, and delivering innovative features used by millions of customers. His work includes transitioning legacy applications to SwiftUI, developing reusable UI component systems, and implementing advanced capabilities such as Siri integrations and deep-linking frameworks. 

Jake holds dual Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from Old Dominion University and is currently assigned to a large nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the educational needs of professionals.

Shelton C. – Shelton is a SharePoint and Microsoft 365 engineer with over 10 years of experience delivering secure, scalable solutions across federal agencies and Fortune 500 organizations. He specializes in SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and enterprise governance within Microsoft 365 environments. 

Shelton has led large-scale modernization and migration initiatives, helping organizations transition from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms that improve performance, security, and efficiency. He is skilled in building automated workflows, custom applications, and data-driven dashboards that support business operations and executive decision-making. He has supported organizations including the CDC, Indian Health Services, U.S. Air Force, and General Motors, translating complex requirements into practical, high-impact solutions while ensuring strong governance and compliance. 

Shelton holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, along with Microsoft Power Platform certifications. He is assigned to the SharePoint team where he will leverage his skills on multiple key projects.

Morgan J. – Morgan is a Senior Application Developer with extensive experience designing and delivering scalable, enterprise-level applications across healthcare, government, and global technology sectors. Morgan specializes in Java-based microservices and cloud-native architecture, with strong complementary expertise in .NET development. 

With a career spanning role at organizations such as IBM, IQVIA, and the City of Newport News, Morgan has led the development of high-performance systems, modernized legacy platforms, and built robust data pipelines using technologies such as Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS. Morgan is known for combining strong architectural vision with hands-on development to deliver secure, resilient, and user-focused solutions. 

Morgan holds a PhD in Computer Science, along with advanced degrees in Physics, bringing a strong analytical foundation to complex problem-solving and software design. He is currently assigned to a large nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the educational needs of professionals.
