Marathon Team Hits the Ground Running -- Literally! -- for New Office Grand Opening

With a name like "Marathon," we had to stage a creative grand opening, right? So we asked several team members to collectively run a marathon (26.2 miles) through the city's Town Center business district. Each person covered about 2 miles and the entire group ended the race surrounded by other Marathon employees and our wonderful clients. We're so grateful for each and every client on our journey the past 9 years — sometimes it felt like we were running at full speed! Thank you for helping us grow and allowing us to reach this point.

After the run, Marathon President Harris Pezzella addressed the crowd and introduced our 2 special guests: Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms and King's Daughters Executive Director Lisa Coleman. We are honored to have raised over $1,000 (through the marathon run) to help King's Daughters purchase a rolling pediatric/neonatal intensive care unit. And we beamed with pride when Mayor Sessoms pointed out, "I have been to a lot of grand openings, but this one is the most creative."
