Marathon Consulting Announces Team Additions – 2026 Q2
Virginia Beach, VA – Marathon Consulting, LLC, a Virginia-based Information Technology Consulting company, today announced a recent expansion resulting in the addition of 12 team members. All of the new team members are assigned to clients local to Marathon offices and across the U.S.
The new employees include the following individuals:
Matt J. – Matthew is a seasoned Senior Quality Engineer with 14 years of experience ensuring software quality across enterprise SaaS and medical device platforms. He specializes in risk-based testing, release validation, and root cause analysis, with a strong focus on uncovering edge cases that traditional automation often misses. Proficient in tools such as Cypress, Selenium, SQL, and Postman, Matthew combines automation expertise with deep backend and data validation skills to maintain high standards of system integrity.
He has served as a release authority, leading final quality gates for mission-critical systems, and has a proven track record of improving test coverage, stabilizing environments, and coordinating cross-functional and global teams. Matthew brings a pragmatic, detail-oriented approach to quality engineering, balancing release velocity with platform reliability.
Shane F. – Shane is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer and technical leader with over 26 years of experience designing and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade applications across industries including retail, transportation, and entertainment. He brings deep expertise in .NET development, cloud architecture, microservices, and DevOps practices, along with a strong background in building multi-tenant SaaS platforms and high-volume APIs.
Shane has led cross-functional teams, managed full project lifecycles, and driven modernization initiatives that improve performance, reliability, and developer productivity. With hands-on experience in AI integrations, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines, he combines technical excellence with leadership, mentoring, and Agile delivery to consistently drive successful outcomes.
Matt S. – We’re excited to welcome Matt back to Marathon Consulting as an Enterprise Business Technology Consultant.
Matt is a familiar and highly respected face within the Marathon community, and his return reflects both his strong reputation and the lasting relationships he’s built over the years. With more than 3 decades of experience in software engineering, project management, and technology leadership, he brings a rare combination of technical depth and business insight to every engagement.

Matt is assigned to the leading non-profit provider of continuing education (CE) products and services for mental health, healthcare, and rehabilitation professionals.
Peter F. – Peter joined Marathon Consulting in May 2026 as an Information Technology Summer Intern, where he will contribute to technology initiatives focused on software development, data analysis, and business solutions. Peter is a student at William & Mary pursuing a Bachelor of Science in computer science and computational and applied mathematics and statistics with an expected graduation date of May 2026. He brings a strong analytical foundation and a passion for solving complex problems through technology, leveraging his academic background in software engineering, mathematics, and data-driven decision-making. Peter is eager to apply his technical skills, collaborate with experienced consultants, and gain hands-on experience delivering innovative solutions that create business value.
Molly M. – Molly joined Marathon in May 2026 as an Information Technology Summer Intern at the corporate headquarters where she will be working on an IT project to help a “regional startup ecosystem,” focusing on improving workflow automation, AI-driven processes, and digital tools to enhance storytelling, event management, and application tracking. Molly is a student at William & Mary pursuing a Bachelor of Science in computer science with a minor in public health. Molly brings experience in Python, C++, Java, Unix Shell scripting, cybersecurity, and software development, along with strong leadership skills developed through her roles as President of the Society of Women in Computing and Vice President of Public Relations for Alpha Chi Omega. She is passionate about technology, collaboration, and using software solutions to improve efficiency and solve real-world problems.
Daniel R. – Daniel joined Marathon Consulting in May 2026 as an Information Technology Summer Intern where he will contribute to software development and technology initiatives while gaining hands-on consulting experience. Daniel is a student at William & Mary pursuing a Bachelor of Science in computer science with a minor in economics, expecting to graduate in May 2027. He brings experience developing software in C#, Python, Java, Swift, and XML, gained through internships with Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Geneva. In addition to his technical skills, Daniel has demonstrated strong leadership and communication abilities through his role as a Resident Assistant and his involvement in multiple student organizations. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Daniel combines a global perspective, collaborative mindset, and passion for technology to help solve complex business challenges.
Michael C. – Michael joined Marathon in June 2026 as a full-time Information Technology Consultant. He was selected to join Marathon as a summer intern in 2025, where he quickly mastered the technology stack leveraged for a community give-back initiative. The project built out tools to help a regional non-profit combat food insecurity across the greater Hampton Roads area. Michael is a computer science graduate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) with a focus on application development and software engineering. Proficient in Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python, and .NET, he will be based out of the Richmond, VA office where he will be working on various client projects.
Mike M. – An accomplished project/product owner and process improvement leader, Mike joins Marathon as a Business Analyst with extensive experience driving transformation initiatives within financial services, retail, and technology organizations. He specializes in product management, agile delivery, business process optimization, operational risk, and change management, with a proven track record of translating complex business needs into actionable solutions. Mike has led cross-functional teams, developed strategic roadmaps, managed enterprise governance programs, and delivered process automation initiatives that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance customer outcomes. He combines strong stakeholder management, data-driven decision-making, and agile leadership to successfully deliver business and technology solutions in highly regulated environments.
Matt C. – Matt joins the team as a Senior Application Solution Consultant with extensive experience in enterprise application development, systems administration, and IT infrastructure. He has a strong background in .NET development, SQL databases, API integration, and cloud-based technologies, with expertise in modernizing applications, optimizing performance, and implementing secure, scalable solutions.
Matt has supported both public and private sector organizations, including the Virginia Department of General Services and the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), where he developed enterprise applications, automated business processes, and enhanced mission-critical systems.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in information systems from Bridgewater College and is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex business challenges while collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality results. He is currently assigned to a large nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the educational needs of professionals.
Zac K. – Zac joins the team as a Data Solutions Consultant, bringing a strong background in software development, data engineering, and cloud technologies. He has extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, C#, Python, and ETL development, with a proven track record of optimizing data systems, improving application performance, and building scalable solutions.
Most recently, Zac served as the sole SQL Server data warehouse developer at NBI, where he designed enterprise data solutions, implemented AI-driven applications, and reduced processing times by as much as 80%.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire with a degree in computer science and a mathematics minor, Zac is passionate about solving complex technical challenges and continually expanding his expertise in modern software and data engineering. He is currently assigned to a large nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the educational needs of professionals.
Kartheek U. – Kartheek is an experienced IT Programmer Analyst with expertise delivering enterprise data, business intelligence, and application solutions for government healthcare and municipal organizations. He specializes in SQL Server, Power BI, SSRS, Azure Data Factory, and .NET, with proven success leading large-scale Oracle-to-SQL Server migrations, developing automated ETL pipelines, and building enterprise reporting solutions. Kartheek has hands-on experience with data architecture and full SDLC ownership, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions. He is a Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Data Engineer, and Snowflake SnowPro Core Professional.
Dani S. – Dani joins the team as an Enterprise Business Technology Consultant with more than 15 years of experience leading enterprise program management, delivery operations, and organizational transformation across global technology and SaaS organizations.
A certified PMP and agile leader, Dani has successfully managed complex, cross-functional portfolios, driving operational excellence, improving delivery predictability, and leading high-performing teams across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Most recently, she oversaw a $2 million SaaS portfolio of more than 110 initiatives, achieving a 95% on-time delivery rate and exceptional customer satisfaction. She currently serves in a volunteer capacity with the PMI Hampton Roads Chapter as the Director of Governance and a mentor.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Dani is passionate about building collaborative teams, optimizing processes, and delivering strategic business outcomes through disciplined project execution and continuous improvement. Currently, she is assigned to the Hampton Roads corporate headquarters of a national retail chain.
