Marathon Consulting Named a 2026 Top Virginia Employer for Interns

Virginia Beach, VA – Marathon Consulting, LLC, a Virginia-based Information Technology Consulting and Digital Marketing firm, is proud to announce it has been named a 2026 Top Virginia Employer for Interns by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) through the Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP).   

The annual award recognizes organizations that demonstrate a commitment to preparing the next generation workforce through high-impact, career-launching internship opportunities. This year, 161 employers across the Commonwealth were honored with this recognition.

Marathon Consulting has continually invested in strengthening its internship program, creating meaningful opportunities for students to gain real-world experience and develop valuable career skills. Designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional consulting environment, the program allows students to contribute to real client and internal projects while working alongside experienced developers, analysts, designers, project managers, and business professionals.

Marathon's internship program spans a variety of disciplines, including software development, web development, database development, business analysis, quality assurance, project management, and technical support. Interns work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to team projects, participate in professional development activities, and attend networking events throughout the summer while gaining practical experience that compliments their academic studies.

Over the years, Marathon has welcomed students from colleges and universities across Virginia into its internship program, with many receiving full-time employment offers upon completion. Today, those former interns continue to build successful careers at Marathon, taking on increasing responsibilities and growing into key contributors across the organization.
