For the 8th Year in a Row Marathon Consulting is Named to the Inc. 5000 List of the Nation’s Fastest Growing Private Companies

Marathon Consulting, LLC, a Virginia-based provider of Information Technology and Digital Marketing solutions, announced today that the company was named to 2017 Inc. 500/5000 list. This is the 8th consecutive year that Marathon has made the list, a feat that less than 1% of applicants have achieved. Inc. Magazine’s list is an annual compilation of the most entrepreneurial and fastest growing, privately held U.S. companies.

Marathon has ranked on the Inc. 500/5000 every single year of eligibility, debuting on the 2010 Inc. 500 list with a ranking of 466. This year, Marathon placed 4,234th with a growth rate of 62% over the past 3 years. Marathon ranked 4,885th on the 2016 list, 4,916th on the 2015 list, 3,698th on the 2014 list, 2,686th on the 2013 list, 2,558th on the 2012 list, 2,493rd on the 2011 list, and 466th on the 2010 Inc. 500 list.

Methodology

The 2017 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2013 to 2016. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2013. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies — as of December 31, 2016.
