Marathon Consulting Announces Team Additions – 2026 Q3

Virginia Beach, VA – Marathon Consulting, LLC, a Virginia-based Information Technology Consulting and Digital Marketing firm, today announced a recent expansion resulting in the addition of 6 team members. All of the new team members are assigned to clients local to Marathon offices and across the U.S.

The new employees include the following individuals:

Lori W. – Lori joins Marathon in July of 2026 as a Senior Business Technology Consultant. She brings 26 years of experience in the municipal water utility industry, where she has developed extensive expertise in communications, water resources, and operational management. Throughout her career, Lori has served as a Public Education Coordinator, Water Resources Coordinator, and most recently as a Management Analyst, leading initiatives in strategic planning, policy development, process improvement, technical reporting, and regulatory compliance. 

Known for her collaborative approach and strong communication skills, Lori excels at translating complex information into practical solutions while building strong relationships across all levels of an organization. Her background in organizational leadership, data analysis, and continuous improvement makes her a valuable addition to the team.

Gordon F. – Gordon joined Marathon in July 2026 as an Application Development Consultant. He’s an accomplished full-stack software developer with more than 20 years of experience designing and delivering enterprise software solutions. He specializes in C#, .NET, SQL Server, Angular, React, and cloud-based microservices, with a proven track record of building scalable applications, modernizing legacy systems, and solving complex technical challenges.  

Gordy as he is known by some, holds an undergrad degree in Political Science and minor in Physics with a master’s from Tulane University in Experimental Psychology. Throughout his career, he has consistently earned recognition for his thoughtful problem-solving, collaborative approach, and ability to deliver high-impact solutions with minimal oversight. He is currently assigned to a national leader in the tax preparation industry.

Chris O. – Chris joined Marathon in July 2026 as an Application Development Consultant. He comes to us with more than six years of experience building and supporting full-stack web and mobile applications. He specializes in React Native, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, API integrations, and SQL, with a strong focus on developing practical, business-driven solutions. Chris brings experience leading development projects, collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams, and translating business requirements into scalable applications. He is also expanding his expertise in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including ASP.NET Core, C#, and SQL Server, while maintaining a passion for delivering reliable, user-focused software solutions. He is currently assigned to a Marathon managed mobile development project.

Peter F. – Peter joined Marathon Consulting in May 2026 as an Information Technology Summer Intern and is now transitioning to a full-time role with the company. During his internship, Peter contributed to the development of the Marathon Client Portal, gaining hands-on experience in team-based application development and Blazor Server applications. He also led an individual project for Innovate Hampton Roads, developing a web portal for managing award applications while gaining experience with MVVM architecture and the Avalonia UI framework. Peter brings a strong analytical foundation and passion for software development, positioning him to make valuable contributions as a full-time member of the Marathon Consulting team.

Erica T. – Erica is an experienced Project Management and Business Analysis professional with a strong background leading complex business and technology initiatives across healthcare, telecommunications, and financial technology. She has extensive experience managing enterprise projects, gathering and documenting requirements, improving business processes, and coordinating cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.  

Her background includes leading Medicare and Medicaid implementations, technology and quality initiatives, resource and capacity planning, and process improvement efforts. Erica holds an M.S. in Business & Technology and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. She is currently assigned to a nationally recognized leader in full-service subservicing to the mortgage industry based in Hampton Roads.

Ben S. – Ben joined Marathon in September 2026 as an experienced full-stack software developer specializing in Umbraco, .NET, C#, and modern web development. He is an Umbraco MVP and Umbraco Certified Master with extensive experience in designing, developing, migrating, and upgrading Umbraco platforms, including complex migrations from legacy Umbraco environments to the latest versions. His background also includes headless CMS solutions, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue, Django, and AWS.  

Ben has served as a lead Umbraco developer and technical architect and has supported organizations including Vimeo and the University of West Florida Center for Cybersecurity and AI. His deep Umbraco expertise and broad full-stack development background will make him a valuable addition to the Digital Marketing team.
