Marathon Consulting Announces Team Additions – 2024 Q2

Marathon Consulting, LLC, a Virginia-based Information Technology Consulting and Digital Marketing firm, today announced a recent expansion resulting in the addition of 6 team members. All of the new team members are assigned to clients local to Marathon offices, as well as Marathon clients across the US.

The new employees include the following individuals:

Garrett S. – Garrett Joined Marathon in May 2024 as a full-time Application Development Consultant. While in college at Brigham Young University, Garrett worked as a junior software developer for the past three years with Sure-FI Inc and volunteered for the City of Provo as “My Hometown Provo” Website Developer. Garret is currently assigned to the Digital Marketing team where he will work closely with a high-profile transportation client.

Jackson K. – Jackson Joined Marathon in May 2024 as an Information Technology Summer Intern where he will be working on several key internal Marathon projects at the corporate headquarters. Jackson is majoring in Computer Science and a minor in Linguistics at the College of William & Mary and has previously worked as a summer Member Experience Intern at Chartway Credit Union and a Customer Service & Browser Extension Specialist at Holiday Trav-L Park . Jackson is also the Vice Chair for the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and collaborated on a successful college hackathon. Jackson is assigned to the Digital Marketing team for the summer. 

Nicole J. – Nicole Joined Marathon in May 2024 as an Information Technology Summer Intern where she will be working on several key internal Marathon projects at the corporate headquarters. Nicole is majoring in Computer Science and Sociology at the College of William & Mary and has previously worked as a summer Computer Science Intern at ValityX Inc. and a Media Specialist at Reeder Media Center at W&M. Nicole is assigned to the Digital Marketing team for the summer. 

Thomas B. – Thomas Joined Marathon in June 2024 as an Information Technology Summer Intern where he will be working on several key internal Marathon projects at the corporate headquarters. Thomas is majoring in Computer Science at the College of William & Mary. Since 2021, he has been the Technical Interview Prep Chair for the Computer Science Club (ACM), President of the Clay Target Club, Member of Phi Gamma Delta, Member of the Order of Omega Honor Society, has traveled abroad to Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and is an Eagle Scout. We are looking forward to challenging Thomas this summer while assigned to the Digital Marketing team.

Grant W. – Grant joined Marathon in June 2024 as a UX Architect. With over20 years of creative product designer solutions experience, Grant has been a constant influencer of strategy, usability best practices, and customer focused design. Grant is a valuable addition to the Digital Marketing team where he is assigned to a large nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the educational needs of professionals.

Brenton M. – Brenton is an accomplished Software Architect with extensive experience in full-stack development, system migration, and team management who joined Marathon in June, 2024. Proficient in Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, and various programming languages, Brenton holds a B.S. in Computer Science from ECPI University and is a Certified Scrum Master. Brenton brings a wealth of knowledge to the Application Development team and is currently supporting an enterprise-level application project.
